Rules, rules, and more rules! Life is full of rules and the world of government grants and
agreements is full of rules too. An essential skill for every government auditor is understanding
how those rules apply to the work they do every day. In this seminar we’ll look at the rules we
use to evaluate grant compliance.
Using individual and group activities, we’ll explore the many administrative rules; what should
happen before and after grants are awarded (including procurement); the cost principles; the A
to T of cost items; the audit requirements; and much, much more.
It’s all here and we’ll cover it all – well lots of it anyway!
Warren Bufffet once said, “Risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing.” At day’s end you’ll
definitely know what you’re doing when it comes to grant compliance rules.
